All physical education majors must have 30 contact hours with youth (K-12) in a movement setting in each of the freshman and sophomore years (total of 60 hours). The experience must be with an organized program and must be documented. If students have questions, they should contact an instructor in the Physical Education Department.
Students must have a 2.5 G.P.A. and be interviewed for acceptance into the Physical Education Teacher Education professional program (junior- and senior-level classes). Application for admission to this program is made in the spring semester of the sophomore year.
