Apply to the Program

Thank you for your interest in our Wind Energy Technology program. Acceptance to the program is competitive due to high demand. The program will select 24 students, and applicants must complete acceptance criteria.

Acceptance Criteria

Step 1

Apply for admission to LCCC declaring Wind Energy Technology as your major. Learn more about the admissions process and requirements.

Step 2

Have your high school and/or college transcripts or GED mailed to:
Laramie County Community College
Student Records
1400 E. College Drive
Cheyenne, WY 82007

Step 3

Verify math competency. If you do not have any college credits, take the placement exam (i.e. COMPASS) in the Testing Center. You must place in MATH 0920 or higher prior to applying for placement in the Wind Energy program. An incomplete or grade lower than “C” is not acceptable.

Step 4

Complete a Student Housing application if you intend to live on campus. Learn more about our residence halls.

Step 5

Complete an Application for Financial Aid & Scholarships if applicable. Learn more about ways to pay for college.

Step 6

Complete the Wind Energy Application (at top).
