Counseling & Campus Wellness

Laramie County Community College provides a full-service personal counseling center with direct and indirect services to students. 

Mission Statement

From left: Diane Lowe-Carpenter, Eirin Grimes, Kristin Douglas, Lynn Scott and Anna MataOur counseling center provides support in helping students and the campus community balance intellectual, emotional, interpersonal and developmental needs. We provide preventative, remedial, and developmental intervention through counseling, crisis intervention, workshops, teaching, outreach, consultation and community referrals.
 
All enrolled LCCC students are eligible for FREE counseling services, if they so desire, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, handicap, race, religion, sexual orientation or progress toward academic degree. LCCC is a safe zone for all students seeking services.

Services

Services are provided through developmental, preventive and remedial modes of intervention. All services are free to currently enrolled students on a short-term basis. Students needing extensive and/or long-term counseling will be referred to the community's support agencies. Services include:

Did You Know?

Kristin Douglas, LCCC counselor and UW doctoral student, co-wrote a chapter about understanding and intervening after miscarriage in the book Compelling Counseling Inventions.
