Scholarships

Every year, Laramie County Community College students receive more than $1 million in scholarships funded by donors, foundations, trusts and the college.
 
Applying is easy! Fill out our 2009-2010 Scholarships & Financial Aid form, or 2010-2011 Scholarships & Financial Aid Form to get started. The best time to apply is between January 1 and April 1.
 
What types of students can receive scholarship money?
  • High school graduates
  • Home-school graduates
  • GED recipients
  • Transfer students
  • Full- and part-time degree-seeking students 
What types of scholarships are available?
  • LCCC Golden Eagle Scholarships
  • Hathaway Scholarships (state-funded)
  • Private Donor Scholarships
What are the requirements?
Criteria to receive a scholarship are as varied as the number of scholarship programs. Some factors include grade point average (GPA), minimum enrollment level, state of residence, participation in a particular activity or enrollment in a specific program of study.
 
Do I have to be an 'A' student to get a scholarship?
While we want you to do well in school, you don’t have to be a straight-A student to receive scholarships. Although some scholarships have higher GPA requirements, many are available to anyone with at least a 2.0.
